Despite progress in public health and hospital care, and in spite of the widespread implementation of preventive strategies, now a day, nosocomial infection is one of the most frequent localized or systemic adverse events in healthcare worldwide. Nosocomial infections increase due to increased age, compromise immunity, underlying health issues, and prolonged hospitalization. In addition to novel antibiotics, the exploration of alternative techniques to battle nosocomial infections is urgently required to reduce the burden of nosocomial infections. Recently vaccines has been authorized or are in development for the prevention of ESCAPE pathogens (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Clostridium difficile, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacteriaceae).
